PMTTYD: Smorg Battle PMTTYD: Smorg Battle

Rated 4 / 5 stars

hmm you managed to coin the theme, but it lacks some of the suspense in the original. it does use diverse instruments though

i beat him... er... them on the first try... its an easy boss

Chao-Guy responds:

Coin the theme? What do you mean (im low class, sorry!). Considering the level didn't really have many enemys, the Smorg was easy. I got more trouble from the dark Boos!

Keep it up!

Lives up to its name!

It does sound like a story about something small, preferably a robot.

It loops really well, too.

Wait a minute...

...isn't this just the normal FF-XII music with the instruments changed around??

Playing it against the FF-XII battle music, I think my prediction is correct...

Realmguys responds:

FF XII? Not only do you have the wrong game, this is quite different from any song that you could have played it against. Would be nice if you knew what the heck you were talking about.
>_< I'm afraid I'm going to have to blam your review.

First sounds good, but gets repetitive...

When you start listening to it, you think, "Yeah, this is a good boss fight music!"

But then it gets repetitive. Too repetitive.

It seems you tried to make it look good by making it long, but it all is really just repetitions of similar themes. Also, the "hiccup"-like sound in the background sounds weird and lame.

The point is: there is too much repetition.

At least it loops perfectly.

Arnas responds:

It even loops perfectly? Alright. It may sound repetitive. It's like a trip. I should have changed between the parts I guess

the chord in the background is annoying
its drum thing hurts my ears
the clapping is sort of unrealistic
and its too short

now appreciate my review

Royal-Sceptor responds:

I do appreciate it. And I know it sucks. I realize now that I shouldn't have had the synth pad playing the ENTIRE time, it does get annoying.

well, its really repetitive, but adds some diversity by repeating different themes in different orders, but still repetitive.

oh well, FL studio doesn't sound like a bad program

and its a little better than your other song.

bua ha ha ha ha...

i don't know why, but it sort of sounds like boss music for a robot ninja eating sugar canes.

must be the "hyper" part.
